Proton Synchrotron Mascot servo-manipulator

The Mascot servo-manipulator on its test rails. In the foreground was the slave unit, which, in normal use, operated in the "hot" area with television observation. In the background the operator was manipulating arms which the slave arms follow, and which also convey back to him the "feel" of what is being handled. The test showed that quite complicated manœuvres can be performed.
