Series of books Indigenous Peoples in Brazil

For more than 30 years, indigenous peoples have come out of invisibility to enter into the imaginary and agenda of contemporary Brazil. The landmark of this process was the unprecedented chapter with the indigenous rights inscribed in the Federal Constitution, approved by the National Congress in October 1988. The photos in this exhibition, published in the series of books Indigenous Peoples in Brazil, which ISA and CEDI publish since the 1980's record key moments in this history and the challenges that indigenous peoples face today, so that their rights are effectively respected.
