Archaeologists found pull toys in the tombs of ancient Near Eastern cultures, and little toddlers have been playing with them ever since. A pull toy is really quite simple, but its mobility delights youngsters who are new at being mobile themselves. A simple figure on a wheeled platform or a cart will do. Adding a bell, a clanker, or other noise, or a crank to bob a head, wag a tail or extend a waving hand will surely capture a child's attention and stoke his pleasure. Pull toys have been made of many different materials and in many different figures.
