Henson Associates created the Kangaroo Muppet Puppet as a premium for Continental Bank in 1975. The slogan of the Chicago-based bank was It?s the big bank with the little bank inside.??Big Bank, a kangaroo, and Little Bank, a Joey, served as the bank mascots for years. Henson Associate's mother kangaroo puppet had a movable mouth and arms, and the Joey was independent finger puppet that could be operated through a hole in the pouch. Continental Bank customers could order the puppet for free with a $300 savings account deposit. Bank promotional collateral noted it?s absolutely amazing what kids n kangaroos talk about??and you?ve never seen a kangaroo like this.??
