Axlon, owned and operated by Nolan Bushnell, released Party Animals in 1986. Designed by Harrison/Erickson, Inc. Party Animals included Sting Mosquito, Darwin Gorilla, Tetrazini Turkey, Dippity Dolphin, Silly Goose, and London Frog. These talking puppets made comical animal noises when a player opened the mouth and activated the light-activated sound box. A preview of the line was featured in a 1985 New York Times article titled In High-Tech Silicon Valley, Entrepreneurs Turn to Toys.
