Pythagoras

On the two organ shutters that come from the church of St. John the Evangelist in Parma, there are two giant characters, which represent, respectively, the Allegory of Music, of which Pythagoras perceived the basic principles when he heard the sounds made by a blacksmith on his anvil, and the Allegory of Geometry, represented with a compass and a ruler.
