Pīkoi, tripping club (04780)

This pīkoi, tripping club, is part of the Museum's founding collection from Queen Emma. It's wooden head is a natural form with a long length of braided olonā (Touchardia latifolia) cord wrapped around its handle. These were hurled at a foe to encircle their arms or legs and render them helpless.
