On August 3, 1929 the plane was registered to Qantas Empire Airways (QEA) and registered in Australia as VH-ULG with certificate of airworthiness 308. Nicknamed "'Hippomenes". This was one of the earliest aircraft to be used by the now internationally known airline, QANTAS.
