Phatti (Low seat)

This phatti was used by the women of the house while cooking food on a stove placed on the floor. The seat, made from a single plank of wood, was raised up from the floor by nailing it to two wooden logs. Cracks had begun to appear where it was nailed and traces of its use over the years was visible on the surface.
