The Eurasian Kestrel is a pronounced synanthrope (follower of human culture) and often breeds on church spires and old ruins. It hunts for mice, using a characteristic hover flight. Since it is able to detect the UV rays emitted by mouse urine, it can visually track its prey’s traces.
