Qingcheng Mountain Landscape

In July 1943, Xu Beihong led some of the staff from the China Academy of Art in a trip to Guan County’s Qingcheng Mountain to spend the summer and paint. He traveled with Li Ruinian, Fei Chengwu, Zhang Qianying, Sun Zongwei, Yu Feng, and Liao Jingwen. Here, Xu Beihong created many works on the theme of Qu Yuan’s Nine Songs.
