A wooden quadrant in the shape of a square with a carefully leveled surface. A quarter of a circle has been drawn on it - an even scale of 0-90° at 10-minute intervals, signed every 5 degrees. In the center of the circle, perpendicular to the surface, there is a cylindrical peg - a gnomon, the shadow of which indicates the height of the Sun.
