CERN
Geneva, Switzerland

In hall 167 arrives a prototype 'wide' quadrupôle magnet which has the largest aperture of any quadrupôle then built at CERN (80 cm wide by 30 cm high). The magnet weighs 14-ton and is 2.2 m wide by 1.55 m high but is only 54 cm long and will accommodate the wide flat 'Antiproton Accumulator' (AA) vacuum chamber.
