Queen Natalija Obrenović was extremely well educated and had a refined artistic taste. After she was wed to King Milan, she had decided to refurbish the Serbian court with stylized furniture, porcelain, glass, silver, and other objects of fine arts from the famous European workshops. A Louis XV drawing room set had been preserved from one of the court's drawing rooms often used by Queen Natalija for her receptions. The set contains a display cabinet, two consoles, two mirrors, chaise longue, folding screen, side table, secretary table, two chairs, commode, table, two small closets - one corner show case, and a decorative wall console. Wooden parts of the display cabinet are decorated with floral motifs, while its joints are done in silver. At the front, wider parts of the mirror consoles depict the scenes with Amorettis. The secretary table and spaces above wall mirrors are decorated with pastoral scenes.
