On visiting the Garnet Ward, Aimee noticed a small but beautiful garden full of geraniums just outside the window of the Quiet Room. This inspired her to create a mural that would mirror some of the qualities of the exterior space. She used locally collected foliage as stencils and spray paint to mimic the effect of dappled light through leaves. The composition of the painting is fluid but weighted in the right hand corner of the room in order to encourage the viewer’s eye to travel across it and then out onto the view of the garden.
