Lorenzo Homar (1913-2004) was a recognized Puerto Rican multidisciplinary artist well known for his posters and typographic designs. The typographic design translates to "We were thrown out of paradise, but paradise was not destroyed".
The print is dedicated to La Casa del Libro Museum Library by the artist.
Lorenzo Homar became friends with La Casa del Libro's founder Elmer Adler (1884-1962) immediately upon Adler's arrival to the island and was the first artist to collaborate with the museum. He produced the first woodcut illustration for the logo (after Saint John the Evangelist sculpture) and multiple posters among other works for the museum.
