These Arabic inscriptions are the souvenir, left by an Egyptian tourist who visited the Ideal Palace in 1910. Postman Cheval copied them and inscribed them at the feet of The Three Giants. "None may claim that sweetness is in love, whilst love is more bitter than patience(Patience is a bitter flower, found in the desert)."
