The two splendedly illuminated Qur’ans by the master calligrapher Abd al-Qadir al-Husaini in the Linden-Museum’s possession are examples of Persian book art, showing calligraphy as well as illuminations with elaborate usage of gold and lapis lazuli.The Quran was copied and designed for the Muslim-Indian region.
