Auburn Rubber Corporation, of Auburn, Indiana made this toy around 1950. Auburn was not the first toy company to offer rubber vehicles, but it was likely the largest. Its rubber cars and trucks were available from about 1935 to 1955, at which time the company switched to vinyl. When in full swing, Auburn offered about 90 different vehicles made of rubber.
