Royal Air Force (RAF) Cranwell was used for flying training with the formation of the RAF in 1918. Soon after, the RAF College was established here for the training of RAF Officer Cadets. This aerial view focuses on Cranwell's principal college building, College Hall, which was built between 1929 and 1933 to designs by Office of Works architect James Grey West.
