The painting surrounded with red foliate scroll, describes the incident after the death of Ravana, when Vibhishana, the younger brother of Ravana, offers Rama pushpaka vimana of Ravana while going back to Ayodhaya. Pushpaka Vimana was originally made by Vishwakarma for Brahma- the creator. Later Brahma gifted it to Kubera – the king of yakshas, but it was stolen by Ravana. The same vimana was used for the abduction of Sita. Against the sweeping blue sky, pushpaka vimana is painted in Indian yellow with red foliated decoration with four wheels. The composition of the painting is symmetrical. The sky of this painting is in rich blue and occupies nearly half the painted surface. Here, the artist has tried to capture the movement of the vimana, with royal Ayodhya flags flying in the direction of the wind are placed on the edges of the Vimana. The Vimana is crowned with Rama, Lakshamana, Angad and Hanuman with weapons in their hands. Facing Rama, Sita sits with lotus flower in her hands and attendants sitting beside her are also carrying lotus. The waves in the sea are not painted schematically rather artist has tried to take his own individual style to paint in blue and white. The two cranes are looking in opposite directions watching this unusual spectacle of the flying Vimana and maintaining balanced symmetry.
