New Delhi , India

Rama took up his bow and pulled the bowstring so loud that the whole forest resounded with its sound. On hearing this, the forest inhabitants were greatly disturbed and Taraka was also perplexed. The artist has portrayed Taraka as a very tall, beautiful lady instead of a horrible monster. She is heavily adorned and wears black striped gagara, odhini. With her raised right hand, she seems to be trying to stop Rama from killing her.
