Livac’s photographs demand close attention to uncover the details that “hit” the viewer. These details turn the photos from “mere” documentation to something that mirrors the clash between the Israeli and the Palestinian reality. For the past 20 years, Livac has joined the journalist Gideon Levy on his trips to the Palestinian Authority and the Gaza Strip territories and has published images of Palestinian life in their Haaretz column Twilight Zone.
