At Cava del Sole this wonderful year has come full circle to its end. Together with the radio presenter Filippo Solibello, who opened on 19 January, the highest local, national and European offices have retraced the long journey of Matera 2019 from its proclamation until the end of the year as a capital. A vision of the Cava transformed into a sea of blue European flags, in the presence of the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli, was certainly one of the most moving moments.
This was followed by a concert directed by Manuel Agnelli, accompanied by his Afterhours, with the participation of Italian and international artists of the calibre of Damon Albarn, Carmen Consoli, Lous and the Yakuza, Fatoumata Diawara, Daniele Silvestri and Rancore. An adrenaline rush that ignited the Cava del Sole.
