Rank Badge of Civil Official with Double Cranes Design

Hyungbae refers to an insignia, or a mark, embroidered on the chest and back of a clothing to indicate the wearer’s rank. The symbol of each rank was determined based on class; the main symbols used were feathered animals for civil officials and furred animals for military officers.
