Ready for the Indigo Vat

2009

Craft Revival Trust

Craft Revival Trust
New Delhi, India

Each Cheepa printer has their own family indigo vats. The inky-blue of the phentiya skirt is only achieved after multiple immersions in the indigo vats over a period of 3 to 4 days.

A day before using the vat, indigo is added to the solution depending on the number of phentiyas to be dyed and the depth of colour demanded.
