Stephen says: "Making contact with Rebekah I was excited to see where this artistic journey led me. We messaged to talk about some compositions and lighting but ultimately she took the photos that I worked from so in that respect this is kind of a self portrait.
We discussed the use of PPE which we felt was important to include as it has quickly become a common part of all our lives, especially all key workers. This became the focus of my portrait; it reflected how Rebekah and her team viewed each other in this 'new normal' and felt important to show it in the same detail I would any facial feature. Taking part in this initiative felt the obvious thing to use my lockdown time for and I feel honoured that this portrait, among the many others, has become a record of a time in which our NHS staff stepped up to the front line and became our Heroes."
Rebekah says: "I can instantly see from my eyes thats its me. That's pretty poignant at the moment as all you can really see of people is their eyes when they're in there!"
