"Rebuilding the Old Town," Heilig-Geist-Spital

This broad view includes the area formerly known as the "Sebald Desert," and probably the most severely damaged part of Nuremberg's Old Town. A key component is the street line from the Schuldturm to Hans-Sachs-Platz, leading around the construction site of the venerable old Spital (founded by Konrad Gross). Although new buildings around the square are already complete, the huge construction site is still in operation.
