Reception of the first section of Polish heroes in Neustadt an der Haardt on January 19, 1832. Tens of thousands of Polish refugees moved through the German territories towards France, triggered by nationwide unrest in the Polish struggle for freedom and its suppression by Russian rule. Many also took part in the Hambach Festival.
