Reception Room - King George Suite

The King George Suite was one of the dining rooms that formed the south wing of Alexandra Palace. A number were transformed in to television studios by the BBC in 1935. The remainder, including this one, were destroyed by fire in 1980. The decoration changed with the fashions and this simple aesthetic was applied over the more ornate, original Victorian decoration.
