Marty Robbins (1925-1982) was one of the most popular country singers of his era and this album compiles 20 of his songs about cowboys and gunfighters from the 1960s and 70s. Among Robbins' many accomplishments was his 1959 Grammy for the song "El Paso," the first ever awarded to a country song. "El Paso" also hit No. 1 on the pop charts.
