In the recording studio of the Philharmonie, all audio signals from the
many microphones in the concert hall come together. Fed into a digital
network that spans the Philharmonie with a resolution of 96 kHz and 24
bit, these signals are mixed for stereo or surround sound at a
completely computerised sound desk. Settings for live streaming from the
Digital Concert Hall, live radio broadcasts, CD productions and
recordings for guest promoters can be loaded at the touch of a button.
Sound engineers adapt miking, mixing and recording techniques to the
respective works and transmission channels.
