Timothy is one of the beneficiaries of the Carakana Program and here he shares his story: MOTIVATED TO WORK
" I am Timothy , a beneficiary of Carakana and a person living with disabilities in Machakos town . Before I joined, I kept thinking that this is a project preserved for women. However, one day I attended the training where the trainers showed me how to cross stitch. To my surprise, I loved every aspect of the initiative. I did this flowers in a basket pattern, though it was challenging I pushed myself and worked hard to produce good work. It took me about four weeks to complete the pattern. I am thankful to Carakana for considering people living with disabilities and empowering them where society fails them. May God bless them beyond their expectations."
