Red Maple

Red buds in winter, red flowers in spring, red leafstalks in summer, and red foliage in autumn give this prolific deciduous tree its name. It is native from the Great Plains to New England, but people plant red maples all over the United States. Red maples reach heights of 40-60 feet and spread to about 40 feet.
