Red Rest (1894) is a historic beach cottage overlooking La Jolla Cove. It is an early example of the first-generation California Bungalow. It was all but destroyed by fire in 2022. Listed on the National Register, there are current plans for its reconstruction. This photo was taken as part of the Historic Building Survey, 1973.
