This ticket was for a game played between Manchester United and Red Star Belgrade on 5 February 1958.

The result, 3-3, ensured that 'The Busby Babes' as the Manchester United team were known, were through to the European Cup semi-finals for the second year running.

The flight home included a stop for refuelling at Munich. In treacherous conditions the plane attempted take off three times. Tragically on the third attempt the plane crashed, killing twenty-one people, including seven of the team.

Two weeks later another of the team Duncan Edwards dies in hospital, along with the co-pilot Ken Rayment.
