This is the first Dutch consumer recorder that Philips placed on the market. When it was introduced it cost 798 guilders, which was two-month's salary. It is an upright model, with the speaker mounted above the drive mechanism. It is a two-track machine that operates at one speed: 9.5 centimetres per second. The device has no power cord and no microphone, and the drive is controlled with rotary knobs.
