Petr Gerasimneko was born in Zhukovsky, Moscow satellite town, in the family of self-taught artists, studied animation and computer graphics. He is a member of Aesthetics duo together with Ilya Slak. Petro creates overly detailed geometric compositions with some constructionism influence where his name is usually encoded. He tries to fit in his works into urban environment or on canvas and wood.
Ilya Slak was born in Belozersky, Moscow area, where he began his graffiti career with a single black spray can. As a member of Aesthetics duo together with Petro he combines classic graffiti with geometric abstraction. One of themes of his work is a person placed into aggressive urban environment. Aesthetics showcased their letters and geometry at the personal exhibition Dualism devoted to the ambiguity of the creative process and a group show Urbanism in the Museum of Moscow where along with canvases they demonstrated experiments with lenticular printing.
