This votive relief from the world of Eastern Greece is dedicated to the indigenous Anatolian goddess Anaitis. The Greeks equated her with Artemis, and she is depicted as such in the bottom half of the relief. She is flanked by two does. In the upper world stands the sun god Mèn, another native deity, who bears an aureole that gives him the air of the Greek Helios. The piece was donated by a lady named Charitè.
