Fragment of a big lattice representing a scene in a limestone mosaic with two characters in high relief from the front with cruciform body, trunk and legs. The images are in sequence, one on top of the other; the lower character has the same shape as the little drums in the Puuc style with a flower in the front, it has in better conditions the face inside a bird’s beak. Both in the same position: rigid body and extended arm to the sides; the right hand holds a scepter with a snake head, and in the left one, a turtle shell tied with a lace. In the lower part of his arms there are two pairs of Venusian eyes from which hang feather spread wings to the sides. From the loincloth comes out the traditional appendixes of the pawuahtunes or holders of the four corners of the universe. To complete the attire there are long feathers at the sides of the headdress, a nose ring, a necklace with an oval breastplate and a belt. In the ossuary in Chichen Itzá there are a number of representations of mythical birds with the head of the god K, men dressed as birds, plants and cocoa plant; Venus appears in the Mayan form as well as in the Mexica. Feathered serpents unify the façades with spirals (clouds) covered in jewels and jade sheet combined with mask in the Puuc and pawuahtunes style among others. Dra. Federica Sodi MirandaColaboradores: Arqlgo. Hugo Herrera Torres Araceli Ruiz Peláez Mtro. Hugo García Capistran.
