The remains of this Bison latifrons were found in 2015 and excavated in September 2016 on land managed by the Bureau of Reclamation in Idaho. The specimen has now been placed at the Idaho Museum of Natural History John A. White Paleontological Repository for curation. This ancient fossil is believed to be an older female based on the horn core size, bone fusion, and extreme wearing of the teeth. It is estimated that 70-80% of the skeletal elements were recovered by Bureau of Reclamation staff during the excavation.
