Mats Wilander, who in 1982 at age 17 became the youngest champion in 57 years at Roland-Garros, defeated defending champion Ivan Lendl in the 1985 finals to win the Coupe des Mousquetaires. Two of the "Four Musketeers"—René Lacoste and Jean Borotra—presented the trophy to the Swede.
