Repatriated Jewish children at the Joint-supported hot lunch program

In 1958, the Polish government invited the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (“the Joint”) to return to care for Jews repatriated from the Soviet Union. At Joint-supported children’s homes, nurseries, and schools, a hot lunch was provided.
