Report of the Committee for Preserving the Fitz Hugh Lane House - page 1

This report from the Committee for Preserving the Fitz Hugh Lane House proposed officially that through federal funds available by recent legislation passed by Congress, the Lane House could be preserved instead of being torn down during the Urban Renewal / Waterfront Project. In proposing to save the house, Hyde Cox and the committee propose the first of many occupants to the building: the Chamber of Commerce, the Fisherman's Institute, or the Master Mariners.
