Report of the International Congress of Women, the Hague, 1915

This congress, also known as the Women's Peace Congress, was held in the Hague. It was a key point in the emergence of the women's peace movement, marking the foundation of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. More than 1200 delegates from 12 countries discussed proposals to end WW1 through negotiation. Two of the authors of this report on its outcome, Jane Addams and Emily Greene Balch, would later receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
