"Lola Anglada (Barcelona, 1892 – Tiana, 1984), was a Catalan children’s illustrator storyteller who also was seduced by paintings and sculpture. Her work cannot be understood without its landscape and her childhood memories lived in the family home in Tiana.
They are special testimony, harvest colours and smells that, year after year, appear before her eyes. Written memories gather it significantly, but also her watercolours and oils paintings. As testifies this work entitled “Rest”.
The old wine cellar of the house of Tiana becomes a silent refuge for her work. From here she gets the voices and the joy of a celebration, and above all, a sense of landscape and of a country."
