The Peral submarine was stored outdoors for an extended period of time, and exposed to several risk factors, such as humidity, high levels of ocean salinity, harsh meteorological conditions, pollution, and leaks. All these factors had a detrimental effect on its condition, making it necessary to reassess the best way to display the submarine. Above all, steps needed to be taken to deal with and avoid the continuation of these risk factors.
