Like the brothers Henrique and Rodolfo Bernardelli, Felix Bernardelli attended the Imperial School of Fine Arts in 1877. Much of his production depicts bucolic, custom or landscapes scenes. In Pinacoteca, however, his trajectory is represented by two portraits, one of them being of his mother, the French dancer Celestina Thierry Bernardelli. In 1900, at age 38, he moved to Mexico and remained there until his death in 1908.
