Copy of the Portrait of Martínez Montañés by Diego Velázquez. It shows an old man in dark 17th century attire with a modeling tool in his hand, in front of a clay head of Philip IV. Juan Cabré painted it as a practice piece when he was a student at the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando) in Madrid between 1900 and 1908, with a grant from the provincial government in Teruel.
