De Fiori arrived in Brazil from Berlin in 1936 at the age of 51. Since then, he has also devoted himself to a pictorial production influenced by local painters, such as Paulo Rossi Osir (1890-1959), Alfredo Volpi, Mário Zanini and also by art critic Sérgio Milliet (1898-1966). An artist who devotes himself both to sculpture and painting, between 1940 and 1945, he saw his artistic production gain notoriety with pictorial productions ranging from still lifes, historical battles, urban scenes, the outskirts of Santo Amaro and even the characters of São Paulo's aristocracy. Some art critics consider that his bidimensional works has the same characteristics (strong, alive, energetic) as his sculptures created since the 1920s.
